Water sports

Canoe
A family trip in a canoe along one of the many inviting streams or inlets is a wonderful and relaxing experience, where all family members, young as well as old, can participate. Bring a lunch basket and blankets, and enjoy a nice day in nature. If you would like to go on a longer trip in canoe, there are several possibilities throughout the country for renting a canoe with overnight accommodations along the way.

Kayak
In a kayak, you can venture out on inlets and other waters close to the coast. Depending on preferences and skills, you can choose whether you would like to glide along on idyllic and calm inlets, or if you want to test your skills at sailing in the surf along the coasts.

Yachters
Denmark is a true paradise for yatchers. Along the coast and on the more than 400 islands, there are yatching harbours at cosy fishing villages and smaller towns like pearls on a string. This guarantees unique experiences while sailing all over the Danish waters. You can rent a sailing boat several places in Denmark, but be aware that you need proficiency certificate to be able to do this.

Surfers
Wind and wave conditions vary a lot in Denmark, and this is simply perfect for windsurfers. There are protected areas with shallow water suitable for beginners, coast areas with flat water and a lot of wind that are ideal for speedsurfing and coast areas with waves for wave surfers that use the waves for carrying out jumps with the board. Kite surfing has also become more widespread – exiting and challenging, but not free from risks.

Divers
Obviously, you do not have to settle for enjoying all the wonderful water that surrounds the country from above, diving is another exiting way of using the wet element.
