A lagoon between sand reefs
Korevlerne was probably caused by a Christmas storm in 1902 and therefore only a little over 100 years old. Two large sand spits have grown like a pincer, cutting off a lagoon from the open sea. The lagoon is only about half a metre deep and as such extremely attractive to waders. A sandy beach with Lyme grass has formed on the outer side of the reefs.
Tours of the area can start on the parking place by Gudmindrup Beach. A walking route of 8km connects Gudmindrup Beach, Korevlerne and Ellinge Forest.
