Fri og Fro Eco village

Visit the “Fri og Fro” building cooperative, which has been located in Egebjerg since 2004.

The cooperative’s members have built a variety of very different houses, constructed primarily from reclaimed wood or other ecological materials such as straw, clay, mussels, and the like.

The area has its own willow evaporation plant for treating wastewater, as well as a community center.

The houses are all very imaginative, and one of the permanent residents periodically gives guided tours. You can also walk around on your own and admire the fascinating architecture.
