At the end of the pedestrian street in Nykøbing Sjælland, you’ll find Pakhuset, located next to the Nykøbing Library, the Citizen Service Center, and the Pakhus Gallery. This raw and atmospheric building serves as the setting for a vibrant cultural scene and has, over the years, been the hub of many cultural events, both large and small.

Originally, Pakhuset was a merchant’s estate, but in the 1970s it was converted into a jazz venue by jazz enthusiast Børge Lund-Jensen. Since then, the venue has evolved into a cultural hub, which is now operated by Odsherred Library, Citizen Services, and Kulturhus.

Pakhuset hosts a variety of events, including concerts, Saturday jazz, lectures, children’s theater, community dinners, and live streams. At the same time, new concepts and artists are regularly featured on stage.
